Join the Go-Pod rally to western France, where your main destination is the picturesque island of Île de Ré, with additional stops in the beautiful Loire Valley and Brittany. Enjoy tours, excursions, and social events, getting to know your fellow Go-Podders along the way.
This rally is led by experienced and knowledgeable Go-Pod owner Paul Johnson, who has travelled thousands of miles in his Go-Pod across Europe as an Alan Rogers Travel Guides Site Assessor.
The ferry inclusive package includes:
- All Campsite fees including tourist tax with 2 people sharing a pitch with electricity
- Excursions featured in the itinerary
- A return ferry crossing with Birttany Ferries or Irish Ferries on the routes featured on the itinerary
- Based on a standard car up to 1.83m x 5m towing a Caravan up to 2.5m in height and 4.2m in length.

First stop at Camping des Bords de l’Aure, in Bayeux, Normandy.
This excellent municipal campsite is just a few kilometers from the coast and the historic D-Day landing beaches. It's perfect for short stopovers, the site offers convenient access to Bayeux, making it easy to visit the famous cathedral and the renowned Bayeux Tapestry.

Next onto a short stopover at Château de Chanteloup, This attractive and peaceful site, close to Le Mans, is situated in the park of a 19th-century château in the heart of the Sarthe countryside.

Your third stop of the journey is at Camping l'Ilse Verte, a friendly, natural site, with pitches overlooking the Loire River,

Boat trip with wine tasting. Travel on a ‘Toue Cananée’ boat and enjoy a sample of wine tasting whilst on board. The boat trip takes 2 hours, and the departure point is a 10 minute walk from the campsite.Friday 20 June
Visit ‘Le Merché des Vins De Loire’ where you can sample a variety of Loire wines in a cave nestled into the hillside (walking distance from the campsite).Saturday 21 June

Now onto the main stay of the rally, Camping la Tour des Prises, a friendly family site nestled among vineyards. Located close to the village of La Couarde-sur-Mer on the southern side of the Île de Ré, this site offers a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration in a picturesque setting.
La Couarde is a charming resort featuring 5 km of pristine beaches, backed by dunes and a pine forest. To the east lies Saint Martin, the island’s capital, known for its delightful town atmosphere and extensive 17th-century fortifications. The north is home to the salt marshes of Loix, while the western end boasts the picturesque villages of Ars-en-Ré and Saint Clément des Baleines. The historical Phare des Baleines lighthouse, dating from 1854, offers spectacular views across the island.

Make your journey back to Loire for a 1 night stay at Seasonova Camping du Chêne, part of an immaculate public park, with a lake that some pitches overlook.
Twin axles are not permitted.
- 27 Jun - 30 Jun: Camping Les Couesnons (3 nights)

The final stop of the rally is at Camping les Couesnons in Brittany's Ille-et-Vilaine department, close to the Mont St-Michel UNESCO World Heritage Site and Mont St-Michel Bay, and within easy reach of several coastal towns famed for their seafood restaurants, historical monuments and summer festivals.

This rally is on a first come first served basis. We are holding 15 spaces with Brittany Ferries for a Car and Caravan until Friday 27 September, at which time any unsold space will be released. Any additional vehicle space required will be quoted at the time requested, and an additional supplement may be charged.
Please note the itinerary is subject to change, and the final price will be confirmed in the autumn.
