Join CamperKing on a spring rally to the Netherlands, combining relaxed days at a welcoming campsite in Delft with a fantastic selection of excursions showcasing the country’s rich heritage, vibrant cities and spectacular floral displays. 

From the historic charm of Delft and Haarlem to the iconic windmills of Kinderdijk, the modern city of Rotterdam and the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens and Flower Parade, there is something for everyone. 

Enjoy a visit to the Aalsmeer Flower Auction and Historical Garden, discover traditional Dutch culture and scenery, and make the most of free days to explore at your own pace. 

With return ferry travel between Harwich and the Hook of Holland, coach excursions and a three-course welcome meal included, this promises to be a memorable Dutch spring adventure.

Itinerary

12 Apr - 21 Apr: Vakantiepark Delftse Houte, Delft, Netherlands (9 nights)

Welcome to Vakantiepark Delftse Houte

Arrive at Vakantiepark Delftse Hout, a peaceful campsite set in the green Delftse Hout recreation area, just a short distance from the centre of Delft. Settle in and make yourself at home, with excellent on-site facilities including a brasserie, campsite shop, modern sanitary facilities, free Wi-Fi, bike hire and a heated outdoor swimming pool.

The remainder of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the local surroundings.

Welcome meal 

Join together on the first night and get to know your fellow ralliers over a 3-course welcome evening meal.  The meal will take place in a local restaurant just a short walk from the campsite.

 

Tuesday, 13 April 

Your first day is free. Why not wander into Delft and visit the Royal Delft Museum or explore the historic canals and local shops.

 

Wednesday, 14 April - Aalsmeer Flower Auction, Historical Garden & Afternoon in Haarlem

Today you have an early start (6am) as you travel to the Aalsmeer Flower Auction, the world’s largest flower trading centre, where you can watch the fast-paced auction action from the overhead viewing gallery, including traders bidding against the famous auction clocks. Afterwards, you will continue to the Aalsmeer Historical Garden to discover the region’s horticultural heritage, before heading to the historic town of Haarlem for time to explore its picturesque streets and local shops at your own pace.

 

Thursday, 15 April

Following a long day, you have a day to relax or explore the surrounding area independently.

 

Friday, 16 April -  UNESCO World Heritage Windmills at Kinderdijk..

Today you will travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kinderdijk, home to the Netherlands' most famous collection of traditional windmills. This remarkable landscape showcases 19 authentic windmills, built to protect the surrounding lowlands from flooding and preserve centuries of Dutch water management history.

On arrival, you will be met by an English-speaking guide, who will introduce you to the fascinating history of Kinderdijk and its unique water management system. You will also enjoy a 30-minute boat cruise, offering views of the windmills from the water, before stepping inside one of the beautifully preserved Museum Mills to discover how millers and their families once lived and worked.

 

Saturday, 17 April -  Keukenhof Gardens and the Flower Parade

Discover the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, one of the most spectacular spring gardens in the world. Wander through the beautifully landscaped gardens, where millions of colourful tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other spring flowers create a breathtaking display.

Take time to visit at your own pace.  Explore the themed gardens, indoor flower pavilions and stunning floral displays, with plenty of opportunities to take photographs and admire the incredible variety of blooms.

Later, experience the famous annual, vibrant Flower Parade, a spectacular procession of beautifully decorated floats covered in thousands of colourful flowers. Watch as the magnificent creations make their way along the route, showcasing the creativity and tradition of Dutch floriculture.

 

Sunday, 18 April

Monday, 19 April - Rotterdam

Your final excursion takes you to the vibrant city of Rotterdam, known for its modern architecture, impressive skyline and bustling harbour.

During the morning you can enjoy a guided walking tour of the city, discovering some of Rotterdam’s highlights and learning more about its history, culture and transformation into one of Europe’s most innovative cities.

Following the tour, you will have free time to explore at your own pace. Take the opportunity to find a local restaurant for lunch, relax with a coffee, browse the shops or simply soak up the atmosphere of this fascinating Dutch city.

Wednesday, 21 April

On your final morning, it's time to check out from the campsite and make your way to the ferry port for your return journey.

Hook of Holland to Harwich

Departs at 14.00 hrs, arrives at 19.45 hrs

 

 Alternative travel options

Members are not required to travel on the specific dates outlined in the itinerary. Should you wish to extend your journey with independent travel, please indicate your preferred dates of travel on the booking form, and we will forward a personalised quotation.

 

Travel is also possible on the short sea crossings from Dover to Calais and Le Shuttle.

Price based on 2 adults sharing a pitch:  £799 per person*

Prices based on 1 adult occupying a pitch: £1,295*

 

Includes:

  • All campsite fees, including tourist tax.

  • Welcome meal

  • All excursions included in the itinerary

  • A return ferry crossing with Stena Line*

     

*Stena Line operates a dynamic pricing system, meaning fares fluctuate daily based on ship capacity at the time of booking. The package price reflects the price in August, and while a drastic immediate change is unlikely, fares will steadily increase as the departure date approaches. Once your booking form has been received, a bespoke quotation will be provided with the up-to-date fare.

 

Campsite check-in Note

It is only a 40-minute drive to the campsite; however, check-in for the campsite is at 14.00 hrs.  Check-out is at 11.00, and some guests may choose to depart before then, which will provide early access to your pitches.  If you arrive early and the pitch is available, then you will be able to check in. Otherwise, you will be asked to park in the surrounding roads until the pitch has been vacated or the official check-in time has been reached.

 

 Dogs

Dogs are welcome on the rally; however, they are not permitted on the excursions. One person must therefore remain behind at the campsite with the dog. A discount will be applied to the non-participating person, provided the group's minimum excursion numbers have been met.

 

Dogs' campsite fees are to be paid for locally. 

 

Deposit and final balance

To secure your place on the rally, please register your interest using the form below. A booking form will then be sent to you by email. Once we receive your completed booking form, we will send you a quotation. If you wish to proceed, a non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm your booking.

 

A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total holiday cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 10 weeks before departure, with an automatic reminder sent 2 weeks before the payment due date.
