Next year, the East Dorset Centre will be making their way to the delightful Camping Mané Guernehué, set in the heart of the beautiful Morbihan region of Brittany, France. This well-loved campsite offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, with its lush green surroundings, excellent amenities, and a wide range of activities for all ages.

Situated just a short distance from the charming town of Baden, guests can enjoy exploring its picturesque streets, traditional markets, and rich history. Baden is also a gateway to the stunning Gulf of Morbihan, where you can discover beautiful islands, take part in various water sports, or simply enjoy the breathtaking coastal views.

Camping Mané Guernehué itself is known for its spacious pitches, family-friendly atmosphere, and an array of entertainment options, including swimming pools, a spa, and outdoor sports facilities. With 14 nights to fully immerse in the tranquility of the area and the lively offerings of the campsite, this rally promises to be a memorable experience for all attendees.

Camping Mané Guernhué – Standard pitch with 10-amp electricity.

 

Excursions:

Vineyard Tour, Wine Tasting and Lunch – Thursday 19th June

Coach collection: 10:00hrs pick up from Camping Mané Guernehué, arrive at Vineyard around 12:00hrs. 

Experience a comprehensive tour of the estate, where you'll learn about its history, the cultivation of vines, and the distinct terrain that shapes its wines. The tour is followed by a guided wine tasting session. To conclude, enjoy a charming champêtre buffet featuring charcuterie and cheese platters, spreads and bread, local fruit juices, and seasonal fruit from the primeur.

Return Collection: 15:00hrs departure from the Vineyard, arrive at campsite around 17:00hrs. 

*Please note that this excursion is around a 2-hour journey from the campsite. 

 

Guided Tour, Lunch & Boat Trip – Thursday 26th June

English speaking guided tour of the submarine base and Block K3

Join us for an immersive 1.5 hour tour of the largest German submarine base from World War II in Lorient.  Join the experienced guide as you explore the history, construction, and operation of this important site, including exclusive access to the K3 bunker. Comfortable shoes are recommended as stairs are involved. This adventure is perfect for history and discovery enthusiasts!

English speaking guided discovery tour of Cité de la Voile

After lunch you can immerse yourself in the world of great sailors! Start the tour with local guides and learn about the technical and human challenges of modern navigation, then dive into the world of interactive activities as you take the helm, command a radio-controlled sailboat, and embark on a thrilling world tour with our dynamic 4D cinema. This is a unique and unforgettable experience! (duration - 2 hours)

English speaking guided cruise in the harbour of Lorient (Duration -1hr 30)

Enjoy a relaxing cruise to La Base, the former submarine base of Lorient, and dive into the city's fascinating history. Explore the basins that hosted formidable U-boats during World War II and French submarines until 1997. During your visit you can walk along the bustling quays of one of France's largest fishing ports, and admire the commercial port of Kergroise, where cargo ships unload their prized goods. Continue your cruise as you sail along the Scorff River, witness to Lorient's rich naval history and famous shipyards.

Head towards the mouth of the Blavet, Brittany's largest river, where you will pass Pen-Mané and Sainte Catherine before you reach Port-Louis, with its bastions recalling the French East India Company's era. Conclude this adventure by viewing the elegant villas of Kernével and discovering the majestic Cité de la Voile "Eric Tabarly" from the River Ter.  

This cruise promises an enriching and inspiring experience in the heart of maritime Brittany!

Return Collection: Return to the campsite 18:30hrs.
