For 2024, the Berkshire Centre rally will be venturing to Normandy to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings. You will be staying at the well kept site Camping Port’land, which lies on the western edge of the delightful little resort of Port-en-Bessin, one of Normandy’s busiest fishing ports. With a coastal path leads to the little town, which has a number of shops and waterfront bars and restaurants.
Located in the heart of the landing beaches you will find the sandy Omaha Beach nearby and just slightly further down the coast the magnificent Arromanches with its imaginative museum commemorating the D-Day landings.
Just inland is the charming medieval town of Bayeux, famous for its Tapestry but also an interesting destination for its architectural sites as well as plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
There is also a dedicated cycle track that joins Port-en-Bessin with Bayeux and an excellent network of cycle routes.

View CampsiteCamping Port’land, now a mature site, lies on the western edge of the delightful little resort of Port-en-Bessin, one of Normandy’s busiest fishing ports. The 197 pitches are large and grassy with 151 for touring units, all with electricity (mainly 16A), water and wastewater, and 46 with hardstandings.
The camping area has been imaginatively landscaped, many pitches overlooking small fishing ponds. An attractive modern building houses the refurbished reception and a smart bar/restaurant with an interesting menu. A coastal path leads to the little town, which has a number of shops and waterfront bars and restaurants.

Additional Information
To secure your place on the rally, we require a completed booking form and a deposit of £150. The prices are currently a guide based on travel during 2023. Final prices for 2024 will be released in the autumn at which point the member has the opportunity to cancel within 14 days. A full refund of the deposit, minus a £20 cancellation fee will be issued for members cancelling within 14 days of the final price being issued.
