This is a 32-day tour starting in the well-known town of Pisa, Italy. Whilst here you can get to know your companions during the welcome meal, and spend a couple of days exploring the area, perhaps including a visit to the infamous leaning Tower of Pisa.

Continue with an overnight ferry crossing to the beautiful Italian Island of Sardinia and spend the next 14 days discovering the white sandy beaches, quaint towns and villages and ancient cities of this magical island.

Then hop over on the ferry to the neighbouring island of Corsica for a further 14 days to explore the island. Take a boat trip to the magnificent UNESCO Scandola Nature Reserve, discover more glorious coastline with white sandy beaches and the stunning Cap Corse in the north of the Island.

You then bid farewell to Corsica and take the overnight ferry to the mainland of France where the tour ends.

Please note: Dogs are welcome to join the tour, however, are excluded from the price. In Sardinia, dogs are only allowed on the beaches between 20.00h and 08.00h

Itinerary

04 Sept - 06 Sept: Camping Torre Pendente (2 nights)
Torre de Pendent Pisa

Begin your rally at the Camping Village Torre Pendente. This campsite is immersed in nature and away from the buzz of the city. Only a 10 minutes' walk from the famous "Tower of Pisa" and the historic centre.

Enjoy a welcome meal with your fellow ICA members and a free day to explore the city of Pisa at your own pace. After 2 nights you leave the campsite and board the overnight ferry crossing from Livorno to Olbia in Sardinia.

07 Sept - 10 Sept: Campeggio Villaggio Sos Flores (3 nights)
Villagio SOS Flores

You will arrive in Campeggio Villaggio Sos Flores and stay at this beachside campsite for 3 nights. A family-friendly campsite and a 20 minutes’ walk from the resort of San Gemiliano a Tortoli where you will find a choice of shops and restaurants.

During your stay you will have the opportunity to join the excursion to the village of Mamoiada and hillside town of Orgosolo. For more information on the excursion please see the excursion package under 'optional extras'.

10 Sept - 12 Sept: Villaggio Spiaggia Del Riso (2 nights)
Camping village spiaggia del riso villasimius

Continue to Villasimius and the campsite of Villaggio Spiaggia del Riso for the next 2 nights - a well kept, spacious campsite with direct access to another white sandy beach. The well designed campsite restaurant is fabulous with lots of local fare, and waiters will fillet local fish at your table.

During your stay you have another opportunity to join the full day excursion to the capital of Sardinia, Cagliari.

12 Sept - 14 Sept: Camping Tonnara (2 nights)
Camping Tonnara

Today you continue to the South West corner or Sardinia to the Island of Sant 'Antioco, reached by a causeway from the mainland. Camping Tonnara is a small and attractive campsite, with lovely views down to the beach and rocky inlet.

Relax on the terrace of the restaurant whilst enjoying delicious fresh seafood and watch the sunset.

14 Sept - 17 Sept: Camping Village Spinnaker (3 nights)
Village camping Spinnaker

Continue to Village Camping Spinnaker in Oristano for the next 3 nights. This modern campsite offers plenty of shade under the numerous tall pine trees, and an easy 60 metres stroll to a white sandy beach. It is also a pleasant and easy walk along the beach to the resort of Marina Torre Grande.

17 Sept - 21 Sept: Camping Village Laguna Blu (4 nights)
Camping Village Laguna Blu

Laguna Blu is your home for the next 4 nights and your last stop in Sardinia. The campsite is perfectly based for exploring the north coast of Sardinia: only 5km from Alghero. A large campsite, pleasantly placed between the sea and a huge lagoon. The beach is directly across the road from the site.

After your departure from the campsite you will make your way to the port of Santa Teresa di Galura and board your ferry crossing to Bonaficio.

Whilst here why not take a boat excursion to Cap Caccia or visit the infamous Caves of Neptune.

21 Sept - 23 Sept: Camping Les Ilots D'or (2 nights)
Les illots d Or

Welcome to Corsica. After disembarking the ferry, drive the short distance to Porto Vechhio and enjoy a relaxing 2 night stay at Camping Les Ilots D'Or.

Just 150 metres from the beautiful beach of Saint Cyprien. A total of 154 large shady pitches nestled across the four hectares of oak trees and eucalyptus with a great view of the sea.

Whilst here we recommend visiting the spectacular caves of Saint Antoine and the Cave of Sdragonato.

23 Sept - 25 Sept: Camping Arinella Bianca (2 nights)
Arinella Bianca

Today you will travel in a northerly direction to Portoccio and enjoy a 2 night stay at Camping Arinella Bianca.

Arinella is a smart and lively site with a wonderful family atmosphere. The site has direct access to a huge long beach of soft sand and the site is amply shaded with a variety of trees and shrubs. The brilliantly designed resort-style pool complex with two pools and a paddling pool, is overlooked by a large restaurant, terraced bar and very professional entertainment area, forming the hub of Arinella Bianca.

25 Sept - 29 Sept: Camping U Prunelli (4 nights)

Travel to the west side of the island to the wonderful resort of Ajaccio and enjoy a relaxing 4 night stay at the friendly and well-maintained Camping U Prunelli.

It is located just 10 minutes from the town of Ajaccio and only 2km from the fine sandy beaches of Porticcio.

Today you can join your fellow members on a day excursion to the capital of Corsica, Ajaccio and experience the sights of this historical city with an experienced guide. For more information on the excursion please see the excursion package under 'optional extras'.

29 Sept - 02 Oct: Camping Dolce Vita (3 nights)
La Pinede Corsica

Travel to the North of the island and enjoy 3 nights at Camping Dolce Vita. This family site has direct access to the river and across a little bridge to a soft sand beach with fabulous views of Calvi.

It is possible to walk into town along the beach. Once you have reached the citadel walls symbolic of the town, you get breath-taking views of the Bay of Calvi and its 7-km beach, the marina and the surrounding mountains. The lower part of the town is riddled with pedestrianised alleyways lined with many small shops and restaurants.

02 Oct - 05 Oct: Camping San Damiano (3 nights)

Enjoy your final 3 nights on the picturesque island of Corsica at Camping San Damiano. In the heart of a 15-hectare pine forest where you will find shaded camping pitches with direct access to a vast beach of fine sand.

During your stay, enjoy a guided coach excursion to the beautiful Cap Corse. For more information on the excursion please see the excursion package under 'optional extras'.

Enjoy your farewell meal with your fellow ICA members at the campsite's independent restaurant La Pagode. This is an informal restaurant set back from the beach, serving a variety of French dishes including fish, grilled meats and homemade pizzas.

On 5 October, you will bid farewell to San Damiano and make your way to the Port of Bastia where you will sail overnight into Toulon, France. Upon your arrival into France, the tour comes to a close.

Please note, the Mediterranean ferry timetables and prices will be released at the end of the year.

In addition, we can tailor your ferry crossing from the UK to coincide with your journey to Italy and from France. Please feel free to include your requirements on your booking form or ask us to offer advise on the best sailings to fit your itinerary. Optional Extras

The following excursions are included in the excursion package, which is optional and can be added to your tour. Please indicate on your booking form, under additional information, if you wish to add the excursion package to your tour. The excursion package price is £300 per person and currently published as a guide. Minimum numbers apply.


Excursion from Camping Villaggio Sos Flores, Sardinia
Guided excursion to Mamoiada and Orgosolo, including lunch

A guided coach excursion firstly takes you to the village of Mamoiada, rich in ancestral culture and well known for its traditional carnival costumes and distinctive masks from the region. Whilst here you will visit the small but fascinating ‘Museum of Masks’ dedicated to showing its unique history of masks and costumes. Following the museum, you will have a traditional ‘lunch with the shepherds’ comprising of cold meats and local cheeses, roasted pork and local bread.

Afterwards you continue on to the quirky hillside town of Orgosolo, where interesting and vibrant street art adorns many of the village’s buildings.

Excursion from Villaggio Spiaggia del Riso, Sardinia
A day excursion to Cagliari

Join the coach at the campsite for your journey into Cagliari, the capital city of Sardinia.

Once you arrive, you will meet your guide for the day and begin the walking tour through the historic district of Castello, full of history, politics, culture and religion from the foundation of the city through to present day. During your walk you will also pass aristocratic palaces, medieval towers, and visit the Cathedral of St. Mary with its hidden gem, the crypt of the Saints and the Martyrs. During the morning you will discover beautiful views over the city and the sea from various panorama viewpoints of the tour.

Stop for a traditional lunch in a Cagliari restaurant.

Following lunch, you will visit the enchanting and fascinating underground crypts and tunnels of Cagliari. Starting in the lively district town with the Crypt of Santo Sepolcro, where you will discover a very grim past. Next you will visit the Crypt of Santa Restituta, a magnificent site in the historic district of Stampace. The tour ends at the Tunnel Shelter of the Salesians school, a long tunnel excavated as a limestone quarry during the XIX Century, later turned into an air raid shelter in the second world war.

Join your coach for the journey back to the campsite.


Excursion from Camping U Prunelli, Sardinia

Day excursion to Ajaccio

Enjoy a day trip to the capital of Corsica, Ajaccio. To start the day your coach will collect you from the campsite at 09.30 and drop you in the city of Ajaccio. At 10 am you will meet your English speaking guide and begin a 2 hour walking tour of the historical city, followed by free time to wander at your own pace and enjoy a leisurely lunch in a restaurant of your choice. (lunch is excluded from the price). Meet the coach at 16:30 for your return journey to the campsite.

Full day excursion to the Cap Corse

Today you will venture to the beautiful peninsula of the Cap Corse with an English speaking guide. Discover dramatic panoramic views of the peninsular coastline, charming towns, and historic, picturesque villages. (lunch included).
