During this rally you will stay on a beautiful campsite pleasantly situated in Delfts park and forest area this is a great location in which to experience a taste of Holland. It is the perfect location to go walking or cycling with bikes available for hire. There are severall optional excursions available so you can add as little or as much as you like. Included in the package is your farewell meal in a traditional Dutch restaurant offering local fare and a glass of wine.

Pleasantly situated in Delfts park and forest area located on the eastern edge of the city this is a well run, modern site. A peaceful campsite with easy access to the cities.

Delft Canal Boat and Pottery Factory

Just a half hour walk takes you from the campsite into the heart of the medieval town of Delft and the canal experience. During your walk to the boat you will have an hour to view the magnificent Gothic church in the centre of the market square ( admission is extra ). At midday you will board your boat and begin your relaxing guided tour including some of the old cities top attractions whilst enjoying a light lunch. You will disembark at 1.15 for a guided tour of the Royal Delft Pottery factory followed by a demonstration.

Following your tour of the Delft pottery, you will re join the boat and return to the city centre leaving you with an opportunity to explore Delft at your leisure..

The boat trip is not wheelchair friendly and members will have to climb down 5 steps to access the boat

Amsterdam

Departing the campsite by coach for your journey to Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands. You will board your boat for a private cruise with an English speaking guide on Amsterdam's infamous canal taking in the beautiful bridges, merchant houses and the cities iconic landmarks. This is followed by a self guided tour of Heinekens original brewery discovering the brewing process followed by a couple of beers in the tasting room.

Enjoy free time to explore Amsterdam and have lunch in one of the many eateries, bars and cafes found along the Vijzelgracht and Rokin route towards Dam square, this is where the coach will collect and return you to the campsite.

There are is no disability access on the boat or the Heineken museum.

Zaanse Schans

Departing the campsite by coach for your trip to Zaandam a recreation of a 18th/19th Century Dutch village with historic windmills, museums and distinctive green wooden houses. You can also discover, chocolate making, a bakery, wooden clog carving, barrel making, cheese making and a pewter casting and a liqueur distillery.

Your guided tour starts at 10.30 and will take you through the village with a commentary about the wooden houses, windmills and the general history of the area. At 12.30 you can enjoy a group lunch in the Pankake restaurant De Kraai where they serve soup, fruit, tea and coffee and Dutch pancakes - 12 inches in diameter!

The entrance fee includes a card which gives you access to all the museums that you can visit in your own time following your lunch.

The Zaans museum is accessible to the disabled, with access to the toilets and all floors by the lift. Wheelchairs with large or elevated seats may not fit in the lifts. Foldaway wheelchairs only on the coach.
