There’s no better time April to visit Holland with its fields of vivid tulips and peaceful surroundings. This lovely family campsite is perfectly located just a 10 minute walk from the picturesque town of Delft, a medieval old town famous for its pottery. Excursions have been organised if you choose to take part, including a visit to the famous Keukenhof gardens, the bustling world-famous flower auctions, a boat trip through the Kinderdijk windmills and a farewell meal.

Pleasantly situated in Delft’s park and forest area on the eastern edge of the city, this lovely family campsite is perfectly located just a 10 minute walk from the picturesque town of Delft, a medieval old town famous for its pottery. You have 7 nights on the site to enjoy the area with a mix of optional excursions for you to choose from and free time for you to relax on your pitch or perhaps to explore Delft and its nearby attractions including the Royal Delftware factory and Madurodam, the smallest city in the Netherlands.

Wednesday 19th April, The Aalsmeer flower auction
This morning has an early start as you depart from the campsite by coach at 6am, and travel to the infamous Aalsmeer flower auction. This is the worlds largest flower auction and by far the busiest floral market in the world. Daily, around 20 million flowers are traded here.
You will have the opportunity to observe the action of the tense auction room from walkways, several meters above the flowers, and the busy warehouse floor where mini transportation trains crisscross the world’s largest covered market at astonishing speed.
Following the auction, you will rejoin the coach at 11am and continue to Hollands best known fishing village of Volandam. Once arrived, you will have free time to enjoy a lunch in the beautiful old harbour and spend the afternoon exploring the little streets and colourful timber houses.
Depart by coach from Volandam at 4pm.
Price: £45 per person
- Based on a minimum of 30 people and maximum of 50 people
- Price includes return coach for the full day and entrance tickets into the auction.
- The auction is from 7-11am
- Dogs are not permitted on the excursion
- Lunch is excluded.
- Coach departs the campsite at 06.00, then departs the flower auction at 11 to arrive in Volendam at 12. Departs Volendam at 4pm.
Friday 21 April, Keukenhof Gardens
Meet the coach at 09.30 and travel to the worlds most famous spring garden, Keukenhof gardens. Here you will discover over 7 million colourful flowers set in 32 acres of gardens, flower shows and inspirational garden displays at your leisure.
A free map of the gardens is available from the information centre.
Meet the coach at 2pm for your journey back to the campsite.

- Coach collection from campsite at 09.30 and return from Keukenhof at 2pm
- Price includes return coach and entrance tickets to the gardens

Saturday 22nd April, The Kinderdijk World heritage site
Start the day at 9am where you depart by coach and travel to the magnificent world heritage site of Kinderdijk known for its 18th century windmills. Upon arrival you wander down to the secondary pumping station and watch a film which takes you on a short journey though the history of Kinderdijk.
Following the film you will board a boat where you can view the windmills from the water as you glide past and visit the museum mill Nederwaard.
After the tour you have an opportunity to wander at your own pace or enjoy a coffee at one of the various coffee shops.
Coach collection is at 1pm to return you to the campsite.
Price: £42 per person

- Access to the secondary pumping house and a historic film of Kinderdijk
- Depart the campsite at 9am and return at 1pm

Sunday 23rd
April, Evening meal at Het Vermeertje
Enjoy a three course farewell meal at the restaurant Het Vermeertje in Delft with a choice of drink (glass of wine/beer/soft drink)
